A student from China has had his life transformed after a huge mole was removed from his face.

The 24-year-old called Tao, who is taking a doctorate at Zhejiang University, had a huge black growth, called a nevus, taking over one side of his face.

But after surgery at a hospital in Hangzhou, in the Zhejiang province, Tao looks as good as new.

Skin transplanted from other areas of his body was used to cover the area where the mole was cut away.
