Waking every morning to wear one of two identical dresses, Valerie Elizabeth, 32, managed to pull off the look by getting creative with her accessories.

Documenting online the 31 days of what she dubbed her ‘Little Black Dress Experiment’, stylist Valerie managed to mix and match with belts, shoes, jeans and jewellery.

Wearing two identical £90 Elli Grace dresses, giving each a wash on alternate days, Valerie feels she has found the way to beat the recession and still look great.

“If I’m telling people as a stylist and fashion writer to do this, then I should show that I can do it too,” says Texas resident Valerie.

“Most ladies own a little black dress, so I wanted to show them that combinations are possible with items that you haven’t worn for years or never even worn at all.

“I wanted women to know that you don’t have to spend thousands.”

Posting a total of 31 different looks on the web every day, listing everything she wore, where to buy it and how much it cost, she explains how much of an inspiration she wanted to be

“It has been an interesting challenge to pull this off, but I think that I have done it,” says Valerie.

“On average I wore four items of clothing with my LBD and in total over 120 through the month.”

Modelling everything from designer sandals costing £144 to a top purchased from a wholesale department store for £6, Valerie’s experiment has gone down a storm within the fashion world.

“Since the experiment appeared on my Society Style Website I have had women emailing me from across the world thanking me for showing them new variations of this classic theme,” explains Valerie.
